Spring Grove Dairy - Kangaroo Valley

Spring Grove Dairy has been lovingly restored to create an amazing and truly unique destination for your wedding or next getaway.

Welcome to Spring Grove, so named because of the abundance of naturally occurring springs throughout the property.

Spring Grove is a 200 acre working farm (cattle, hay & sheep) and has been in the Sharman family for over 60 years. Spring Grove, originally a dairy farm, ceased operations in the early 1970’s. The unused dairy was abandoned until 1998, when the son of the current owner decided to revitalise it for use as a weekender. Over the ensuing years, circumstances changed and the dairy became his primary residence requiring further renovations and an extension. In 2010, two bedrooms and a large lounge room were added creating the home you see today.

Spring Grove Dairy has been lovingly restored using recycled materials wherever possible. This has achieved the desired rustic country charm.

Spring Grove Dairy’s location makes it perfect for those attending functions in the Upper River Community Hall. If you are here for a relaxing weekend, take a walk down past the hall and over the suspension bridge where you might catch a glimpse of a platypus, more common at dusk. Wombats also frequent the area and there is an abundance of birdlife. On a hot summer day ‘Flat Rock’ is only another 5km up the road and is an idyllic place to cool off.

Kangaroo Valley is a 10km trip and provides the opportunity to relax, explore and enjoy the local beauty and natural charm of a small village atmosphere. With historic Hampden Bridge, the Kangaroo Valley pioneer museum, a variety of arts and crafts shops as well as restaurants and cafes there is much to see and do.

Surrounded by the rocky escarpment of the NSW Southern Highlands, Spring Grove Dairy is a tranquil environment and we sincerely hope you enjoy your visit.
